Christmas music,

Christmas pjs,
Christmas baking…

Each kid has his or her own style of decorating their gingerbread house.

I always bake too much at Christmastime — in fact, if you’re following on Instagram you will have seen my daily Christmas baking blitz. While my kids love getting involved in the kitchen, one of the activities they most look forward to at this time of year is decorating gingerbread houses. This year, my husband oversaw their decorating projects and the results were awesome.

However, now that the Norman Rockwell moments leading up to Christmas morning have come and gone and the kids are crashing from their gingerbread-house-induced sugar high, it’s time for a little Christmas cheer (or a long winter’s nap — whatever floats your boat).

Whether you’re chilling out on Boxing Day or gearing up for New Year’s Eve festivities, why not put on a holiday fave for the kids? Netflix has a great selection of family Christmas movies plus new and classic holiday TV episodes.

Meanwhile, channel your inner mixologist with a cocktail inspired by A Very Murray Christmas! I personally mixed this delicious Christmas thirst quencher (admittedly easier when the professionals bring all the ingredients) but should you fancy yourself fancy, give it a go!
